Thermal Imaging Surveys

Thermal imaging, or infrared thermography, allows us to create a “thermal image” of any object using a special camera which detects heat variations (infrared radiation). The resulting image will show areas of differing temperatures, which are invisible to the human eye, and is particularly useful for quickly and easily diagnosing many building problems.

Flat Roof Surveys
We can assess flat roofs and walls for areas of damp insulation due to water ingress, allowing informed decisions whether to replace or repair long before the problem affects the interior of the building.
Air Leakage
Pass your pressure test first time. A thermographic survey before an air leakage test can identify areas of air loss allowing rectification before the test.
Insulation Incontinuity
Thermal imaging can identify areas of missing, damaged or poorly fitted thermal insulation, a major cause of energy loss.
Plumbing Leaks & Pipe Location
Using a thermal imaging camera, we can locate pipework and leaks under floors and in walls. This is especially useful for locating underfloor heating and associated problems.
Energy Loss
Windows, walls, doors, roofs are all essentials for keeping heat inside your building, and thermal imaging can quickly highlight areas of heat loss. Fixing these faults can have an incredibly beneficial effect on your heating bills making the service highly cost effective and an environmentally sound move in reducing your energy consumption.
Structural Details
Different building materials possess different thermal properties, and so infrared thermography can be used to identify hidden detail or structural irregularity in buildings, such as beams and columns beneath a surface finish.

Our thermal imaging camera can be mounted on our 15m telescopic mast for surveying inaccessible areas on buildings.
